What is solecleanse in a nutshell?

solecleanse is a premium sneaker-grooming service. We receive your dirty sneakers, groom them, repackage them and get them over to you within a few days.

Our grooming menu gives you a clear idea of the cleaning packages we offer and the choice of having them either dropped-off/picked-up from our grooming lab, or request a delivery.

How do you groom exactly?

We groom with care. We know what a pair of sneakers could mean to you; because we know what our sneakers mean to us. We cherish them, we value them and therefore, we treat them right.

We use environmentally friendly, sneaker-specific cleaning products coupled with meticulous hand-grooming techniques and a natural air-drying process.

We use a range of globally renowned and certified Premium Shoe Care products such as Jason Markk, Reshoevn8r, Crep Protect and more. Feel free to click on any of the them to learn more.

How long does it take to get my sneakers groomed?

We do our best to return your sneakers back to you within 3-4 business days. Please note that this time frame begins from the moment we receive your sneakers at our grooming lab.

How clean do my sneakers actually get?

The depth of grooming depends on which package you choose. Check out our grooming menu to get a better understanding of what each package includes and their respective prices.

Do you fix any wear & tear or carry out repairs?

Not yet. solecleanse is aiming to introduce repair soon enough, but for the time being, we are focused solely on the process of grooming. However, we do offer minor sole repainting for your kicks that have yellowed over time, given the respective color is available in stock. 

Do you clean all shoes or just sneakers?

We clean sneakers. You may call them trainers, tennis shoes, athletic shoes or kicks. We know them as sneakers.

For the time being, our passion lies with sneakers. However, we may be expanding into other types of shoes in the near future.

How can I give you my sneakers?

We offer flexible options to pick-up/drop-off your sneakers:

  • Come by the grooming lab to drop them off and pick-them up. 

    warehouse 2, al kahrman street 4. 
    al quoz 4, dubai, UAE. 
  • Place your order online and our courier partners will pick-up and deliver your sneakers. 

Is there a cost for delivery?

solecleanse has partnered with Remal to provide you with a convenient delivery option.

The cost of delivery is AED 15.

How can I pay for the grooming?

We require upfront payments for the grooming service and we process all payments in AED.

If you choose to drop-off/pick-up your sneakers yourselves from our grooming lab, you can choose to pay by cash, credit card, Apple Pay or Samsung Pay.

If you choose the on-demand delivery service through our website, you can pay either pay online using your credit card through our secure payment method fulfilled by PayFort or requested Cash on Delivery (COD). 

Can I cancel my grooming request?

solecleanse will only accept to cancel your grooming request in the circumstance that it occurs prior to solecleanse bearing any costs.

For example, if the sneakers have been picked-up, you will have to bear the cost of delivery despite the fact that the grooming has not been carried out.

How can I ensure that my sneakers will not be damaged?

At solecleanse, we take the grooming process very seriously. We are committed to ensuring that your sneakers are treated with care and are thoroughly groomed to the best of our abilities. We will not take unnecessary risks with grooming your sneakers and will carry out the process to the best of our knowledge and skillsets.

However, please note that we are not able to guarantee that a one-time cleaning will bring your sneakers back to their original/brand new condition.

The outcome of our grooming is dependent on:

  • The pre-existing wear & tear, scratches and damages to the sneaker
  • How stubborn certain pre-existing stains are
  • The sensitivity of the sneaker material

Therefore, although we ensure to strive to perfect the grooming process, we do not guarantee and cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen potential damages.

Do you provide any protection against damages?

At solecleanse, our last intention is to damage your sneakers or leave you unsatisfied.

That is why we provide the following:

  • "click then cleanse"
    • We carry out a practice called "click then cleanse". For each pair of sneakers we receive, we snap a few 360-degree time-stamped photos before and after grooming. This allows for a fair comparison analysis to ensure we did our best at grooming.
  • "sole secure"
    • We provide an additional service called "sole secure". For a fee of 45AED per pair, you are subject to a refund of up to 150AED in case of any damages proven to have occurred directly from the grooming process using a before and after analysis of the "click then cleanse" practice.
